What is Fifty50 Initiative?

The tech industry remains overwhelmingly male-dominated, women hold just 31% of roles at major tech companies, and for Black women, that number drops to only 3% of computing jobs.

The Fifty50 Initiative exists to change that.

We’re on a mission to shape a 50/50 future in tech by creating pathways for economic mobility and driving meaningful change for minority women—especially Black women.

At Fifty50, we empower women to chart their own course in tech without a predefined blueprint. Through practical tools, community, and support, we help them build careers on their own terms—and rewrite the industry along the way.

Why Our Work is Important

Representation matters. In a field where opportunities often feel out of reach, Fifty50 Initiative bridges the gap by fostering community and creating connections. Studies show that Black women face systemic barriers in tech, but our work is about breaking down those walls. We aim to reduce the degrees of separation, ensuring that no one feels alone in their journey. By empowering women to pivot into tech careers, we’re not just changing individual lives—we’re reshaping the future of the tech industry.
